The workshop is specifically designed for data repositories across Latin America. It aims to reflect on Open Science policies pertinent to Latin American regions and collaboratively develop actionable guidelines tailored to regional needs.

The workshop will bring together representatives of scientific data repositories from Latin American countries. It is open to all, but priority will be given to representatives from the focus regions.

The following are the workshop objectives:

    2. To share best practices within data repositories and services.
    3. To promote cross-cultural dialogue, enriching understanding and cooperation within the region.
    4. Facilitate reflection on Open Science policies relevant to Latin American countries.
    5. To collaboratively develop policy papers describing regional policies.
    6. To engage participants in country-specific groups to describe actionable guidelines that address regional needs.
    7. To produce comprehensive policy papers scheduled for publication on WDS’s Zenodo community space and website.
    8. To disseminate these papers in both local languages and English to maximize reach and impact.
    9. To coordinate follow-up meetings and webinars throughout 2025 allowing participants to share reflections on policies and workshop experiences.
