A Decade of Data: RDa to Celebrate 10th Anniversary in 2023

The Research Data Alliance (RDA) was formed in 2013 as an international community for data sciences, promoting access, reusability, and openness. The initiative was originally composed of “the European Commission, the United States Government’s National Science Foundation and National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the Australian Government’s Department of Innovation with the goal of building the social and technical infrastructure to enable open sharing and re-use of data” (RDA, 2016).

Join us in celebrating the RDA’s 10th anniversary during “A Decade of Data” in 2023.

From February to November of 2023, RDA will hold monthly events, each with a different theme.

The WDS Hosts 100th Scientific Committee Meeting

The World Data System celebrated its milestone 100th meeting with its Scientific Committee (SC) on Tuesday, 18 October 2022.

The Scientific Committee is comprised of a diverse group of data-minded individuals from a variety of fields and disciplines. The SC guides and governs the operations of the WDS, helping to provide a global perspective to everything that we do. Many of the SC hold positions in our member organizations and bring to the Committee the needs and concerns of those we serve.
