The WDS Members’ Forum is organized every two years. It offers the WDS community a platform to share their specific developments, activities, and progress. It also serves as a venue to discuss the strategic and organizational goals of the WDS. The forum features both a Scientific Session and a Plenary Session, providing WDS members with opportunities to present their activities, interact with fellow members, address membership issues, and offer feedback.

This year, we asked our members to complete a brief survey focused on sustainability and emerging technologies (including AI and data infrastructure) in data repositories. Your input will inform the future WDS resources and member services. Please submit your responses by Monday, 1 December. Findings will be shared openly early in 2026. Thank you for your valuable feedback!

WDS Member Reports

At every Forum, we ask WDS members to share their developments, activities, and progress by submitting a 3-5 minute video or oral presentation detailing their organization’s vision or main priorities for the coming years, opportunities and challenges, and how WDS can assist in achieving these goals.

Submission Instructions:

    • Format: Video or Slides presentation
    • Content: Vision/priorities for the coming years, opportunities/challenges, WDS assistance

Participation from WDS Members helps us meet the objectives of the WDS Action Plan by showcasing community engagement and collaborative efforts.

Important Note:

Per WDS bylaws, Article I, Section 9 for Activity Reports: “Official Representatives of WDS Members or their designee are expected to attend and participate in the WDS Members’ Forum, as agreed upon during admission into WDS. They will be urged to present a Report (oral or poster) on their organization’s activities over the previous two years.”
